For those that don't know me, my name is Ayomi, and I am Nayomi's sister and maid of honour. We did everything together growing up. Our parents even dressed us up like twins. As the years went by, Nayomi really grew on me. I started to look up to her and wanted to be just like her. We played together, celebrated together, fought together, and built so many memories – from climbing trees and getting bit by bees, to playing with our little clay pots in our grandma's garden, and running into walls and getting stitches. She made my childhood unforgettable.

You are a strong, independent woman, and your ambition in life inspires me every day. You have always listened to your heart no matter what and taken steps into the unknown. I'm so happy that you chose Shan to spend the rest of your life with. I love you more than words can ever express. Nayomi, I hope you know just how much I love and admire you, and I thank God all the time for blessing me with such a caring and loving sister like you.

So today, as I stand here watching you, Shan, all I can say is that I'm very proud of you and who you have become. You are humble and kind, caring, and you have the biggest heart. I see you constantly placing the needs of others before yours.

Shan and I have worked together for years. He's the type of guy to look past the issues and always find a solution. When he wants something, he won't stop until he gets it, and that kind of problem-solving is also how he landed Nayomi. Nayomi, I know he will always be there for you, just like I know you will always be there for him.

So, I've known my sister for the last twenty-two years. What makes you different is that you make the rocky roads look like smooth roads. It's the way you handle the rough that makes you the woman that you are. That's what makes you a role model to me. You've grown into such a beautiful woman. I remember the day that my daughter was born like it was yesterday. I turned my eyes on her and held her in my arms. I was in boundless love. There is nothing like the love that I have for you.
