Mackenzie and Jordan's Words of Love at Knollwood Golf Course in Ancaster, Ontario

Welcome to what is sure to be a beautiful event! Today you are going to witness something special, something life-changing. We have come together to witness the new dawn of these two lives. Romance is fun, but true love is something far more, and their love has stood the test of time.

Mackenzie, through the years, we've faced many obstacles, some harder than others, that have helped us build the strong foundation of our relationship.

Jordan, when you came into my life, I was in a dark space, and you were my light. You helped me find happiness and hope when I was struggling far away from my family. I believe with every fiber of my being that we were meant to be together. It was faith that we met.

Thank you for accepting me and for always being my biggest cheerleader. I promise to continue to challenge you to be the best version of yourself.

Jordan, you are my home and my safe space. It doesn't matter what country we're in; with you, I'm safe. With you, I can be myself.

I promise to make you laugh, especially when you're taking life too seriously. I promise to always swipe right in this lifetime and those to come. I promise to love you when life seems easy and when it seems hard. I promise to hold you in the highest regard. These things I give to you now and throughout the seasons of our lives.

I promise to remind you to slow down and enjoy the little things. I promise to grow alongside you but to also never grow up. I promise to love you like it was the first day we met. You are an amazing father to our son. He is so lucky to have a role model like you to watch and grow with. I can't wait to see how he turns out just like you.

I'm so proud of the life that we've built and the beautiful family that we've started. Brayden and I are so lucky to have you in our lives.

Getting to this day wasn't easy, but today I get to celebrate and marry my best friend, and what could be better than that?

It is my absolute honour to declare you henceforth to be husband and wife.

Since you've just committed to your lifelong expedition here, I figured that it's probably a good thing to give a little bit of advice. So, it's super important to realize that there are three aspects here: there's yourself, there's, of course, your spouse, and then there's also as a family. And you have to treasure each of those three things. This means that you don't have to do everything together. You don't have to do everything as a family. So, spending time on your interests and hobbies is just as important as going to the movies together. The best advice I can give is never laugh at your spouse's choices. Remember, they also chose you.

Your wedding party!!!

Mackenzie and I have been best friends since high school. It's about eighteen years later, and I couldn't be more happy or more proud to celebrate Mackenzie today. There are so many reasons to love Mackenzie: she's smart, she's kind, and so generous. But when I think about it, my favourite thing about her is her amazing sense of humour and her boundless heart. Now, on to Jordan. It's been such a pleasure getting to know you as an individual and as the perfect partner for my best friend. Thank you for loving her the way she truly deserves. You're such a good man. It is so easy to see that the two of you are perfect for each other, and I'm honoured to call you both friends.

Jordan quickly became a member of our family. We're just thrilled that we have little Brayden and that Mackenzie has found her person. He's her calming factor in her life, and he's her person. Thank you Janet and Matt for raising a wonderful, respectful, considerate man.

To my own parents, well, I wouldn't be standing here if you hadn't made the decision many years back to emigrate to this beautiful country. And as hard as it is to leave a life behind, I think that the one we created is quite something. Thank you for changing our family's life and for giving us a brighter future. Thanks for giving me thick skin and for teaching me never to sweat the small things. You're a wonderful Nana to Brayden, and I can't wait to make more memories.

About twenty years ago, we met, and since pretty much day one, we've been best friends, inseparable. We're practically brothers, and we have so many memories together. Before coming over, he was a boy, and I've seen him turn into a completely different person, dead strong. He's just completely different, and it's the best thing I've seen.
