I've learned a lot about Imran over the last decade and knew pretty early on that I wanted to spend my life with him. One of the things I noticed right away about Imran is how hardworking he is and that unwavering conviction he has to always do better for himself and the people in his life and sometimes he doesn't realize how proud he makes me and the family around him. So, Imran, husband, thank you for always buying me flowers on my birthday, for being my favourite travel buddy, but most of all, for being my best friend. This decade with you has been quite the ride, and I'm excited for many more to come.

Imran, you've always known what you've wanted and worked hard to get to where you are today. Academically and professionally you've been an inspiration to both of us. Thank you for being my built-in best friend. You've always had a way of cheering Omar and I up and are always there for us when we need you. We're very proud to call you our brother, and we are delighted to have sisters in Ara and Alana.

Ara, you bring the best energy into every room you walk into. You're dependable, thoughtful, caring, and loving to everyone in your life, and it really shows. Thank you for being my cheerleader, my therapist on bad days, and the older sister I never had.

To be standing up here right now as the best man is an honour for me. It's our opposite qualities that have created a strong bond. We're both good at different things, and we both lean on each other for different things. There comes a time in a person's life when they meet their one true love, their soulmate, the person that's going to know them and love them for the rest of their life. That moment came for Iman thirty years ago when he met me.

Ara, I've never known what it is like to be alone. From day one, it's always been the two of us. You have always been someone that I look up to; you are kind, meticulous, and the person I can count on to laugh until we are crying. The woman you see today is tenacious; she is fierce in everything that she approaches, whether that be her work, her friendships, or her relationships. She fiercely loves the people that are lucky enough to be closest to her. She is the most selfless person that you will ever have in your life.

When Ara and Imran met, they were each their own whole person. Ara's life was complete when Imran met her. The picture of her life was full, but the picture was only in black and white. Imran came into her life and added color, and to this day, continues to add vibrancy to her life and complements her in every way possible.

Today is a day of special significance in the lives of Ara Karmali and Imran Champsi. It is an occasion of joy as we celebrate the coming together of two separate lives into a partnership that will give a new direction to their future together.

I feel blessed to be able to call this beautiful woman to my left my wife. Ara, from the moment I met you, sometime, ten years ago, I knew you were going to be my person for life. Over the years, as we've grown up, I feel like I've fallen in love with you more and more. I appreciate how you have the biggest heart, always taking care of others before yourself, how supportive you are of me, always encouraging me to do what makes me happy.
