Sarah and Matt’s wedding on October 14, 2023, was a beautiful celebration with family, friends, and rich Egyptian traditions, that Parallel Weddings had the honour of capturing through our wedding videography services. From start to finish, our videography team documented each detail, creating a wedding film that captured the essence of their day. With Jennifer from Perfect Planners coordinating the day and Helene Photography alongside us, the day was flawlessly organized and beautifully captured.
The day began with our videographer, Branden Murphy, capturing Matt’s getting ready at his family home in Oakville, surrounded by his groomsmen. His dad helped him with the tie and boutonniere, adding a nice touch to the morning. Afterward, we headed to Mississauga, where Sarah was getting ready with her bridesmaids at her family home. Her mom helped her into her dress and veil, creating a touching start to Sarah’s day. Joli Avail Beauty took care of her hair and makeup, and Sarah looked stunning. She had a first look with her parents, followed by her bridesmaids, who were thrilled and celebrated by ululating—a special, traditional sound of joy in Egyptian culture.
The couple’s first look happened at the altar during their Catholic Coptic ceremony at The Church of The Virgin Mary and Saint Athanasius in Mississauga. We recorded the traditional and emotional moments as Sarah and Matt exchanged vows and celebrated their love in front of friends and family. After the ceremony, the couple and their bridal party traveled to Humber Arboretum in Toronto for the photoshoot and our videographer captured breathtaking footage of them there. It was a gorgeous October day, with hints of fall colours among the tall trees and flowers, setting the perfect scene for family and couple photos.

From there, we joined the guests at Chateau Le Jardin in Vaughan for the reception. The banquet hall was elegantly decorated by All Pretty Events & Decor, with Dereves Floral adding beautiful floral arrangements in white and pink. During the cocktail hour, we filmed candid moments and details around the venue, giving Sarah and Matt a well-rounded wedding film to relive the celebration.
Sarah and Matt’s grand entrance kicked off the evening celebrations. They shared their first dance surrounded by a cloud effect, courtesy of a smoke machine from DJ Emporium, creating a fairytale-like scene. Later, they shared heartfelt moments with their families in the mother-son and father-daughter dances.
The night continued with the cutting of the delicious cake from SanRem, and heartfelt speeches from both Sarah and Matt. Sarah expressed how much she loves Matt and how happy she is about marrying him, while Matt shared his deep admiration for her, capping off a beautiful day.
