Laura and Kyle’s wedding day on October 7th, 2023, was nothing short of magical. Branden, one of our lead videographers, here at Parallel Weddings had the honour of capturing every significant moment to create a Wedding Film they’ll cherish for years to come. The celebration, planned by the talented team at Stori Events, combined Jewish and Lebanese traditions, blending culture and love in the heart of Toronto.
Our day began with us shooting their stunning first look at their home in Toronto. Laura, looking absolutely radiant with hair and makeup by Eryn Shannon Bridal, walked toward Kyle, who was patiently waiting for her. She tapped his shoulder and when he turned around, we captured his priceless reaction — it was a mixture of awe and joy, such a precious moment.
After their first look, we spent time capturing couples’ portraits and candid shots of Laura and Kyle walking through the charming subdivision and surrounded by the vibrant fall colours.
The next stop was the Storys Building, a unique bricked venue nestled among Toronto’s skyscrapers. The contrast of the venue’s historic charm against the modern cityscape created an incredible setting for the photoshoot. We had a great time working alongside Norr Studio, the photography team, capturing portraits of Laura and Kyle, as well as their bridal party and family. From the laughter shared during the bridal party shots to the sweet moments of Kyle’s groomsmen helping him with his boutonnière, every detail was filled with emotion and meaning.
As the afternoon turned to evening, it was time for Laura and Kyle to say “I do”. Their indoor ceremony on the second floor of the Storys Building was warm and elegant. The space, thanks to Stori Events, was beautifully styled with string lights and a chuppah adorned with fall-coloured flowers, creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere. The large windows let in soft natural light, which gave the ceremony a unique and moody charm. Surrounded by their loved ones, Laura and Kyle exchanged heartfelt vows. Their officiant from XO Life Celebrations spoke beautiful words, and the ceremony concluded with the traditional breaking of the glass, a joyful Jewish tradition that marked the beginning of their life as husband and wife.

The reception, held on the third floor of the Storys Building, was nothing short of breathtaking. Stori Events did a phenomenal job coordinating the event, while Event Rental Group provided rentals that added to the venue’s cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Fall-coloured flowers and candles from Pictus Goods, the talented florist, filled the room with wood accents tying everything together beautifully. When Laura and Kyle entered the reception, their happiness was evident as they saw their vision come to life.
The evening was filled with touching speeches, laughter, and tears. Laura’s sister, Kyle’s parents, and Laura’s father all shared heartfelt words, while Laura and Kyle’s speech left everyone emotional.
The first dance took place upstairs, followed by an open dance floor that kept the energy alive. Guests joined in the hora, lifting Laura and Kyle on chairs and celebrating their love. The energy was contagious, and the room was filled with love and excitement as everyone celebrated the newlyweds. The talented DJ from Floh Back ensured the dance floor stayed packed, and the beautifully crafted and mouthwatering cake by Pinch was a true crowd-pleaser.
One of the highlights of the evening was the Lebanese dance, a special moment to honour Kyle’s heritage. The guests were mesmerized by the vibrant energy and cultural richness of the performance, it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
Parallel Weddings is proud to have documented Laura and Kyle’s special day, creating a Wedding Film that showcases every heartfelt moment, from the details they poured their hearts into to the traditions that made their day unique.
