Here's to a long life of health and happiness," they say. "You don't marry the person you can live with, you marry the person you can't live without." That sums up Blake and Katie perfectly.

Marriage is the opportunity for two people to come together as individuals, free to be who they are in every sense, and yet also to gain the absolute comfort and acceptance of an intimate partnership.

Ryan, you know when I sat down and had to pick who my best man would be, I gave it some thought and started recalling all these memories, from modifying cars to ski trips, traveling the world, shared birthday parties, football games, jumping out of an airplane, or just any memorable time throughout the years. There was always one thing that remained consistent, and that was that you were always there doing those things with me.

I know Katie's dad, Doug, would approve of her excellent choice for her husband. Now that I have gotten to know Blake and his family, I feel honoured to have my daughter be the one to take that last name, Sceppacerqua.

Blake, you've grown up to be the man that any mother could wish for, and we are proud to call you our son. You're handsome, courageous, but most of all, you have a kind heart.

It comes as no surprise how stunningly beautiful you look today, Katie. You always have a smile that could light up a room, but today you are truly glowing. It is so clear to see how happy you are, and I want to thank Blake for that. I've never seen Katie as happy as she's been since you guys started dating. 

I wish you both a lifetime of laughter and happiness. You are so lucky to have found each other to go through life with. 

This union enriches and strengthens each partner. In marriage you can face the world together, strong with the strength of two, wise with the wisdom of two, and brave with the courage of two.

Blake and Katie, we would like to wish the both of you the best in life as you enter the next step of your journey together. May you have a life full of happiness and success, and may you overcome all the obstacles that may come your way.

Well, as the saying goes, "good things come to those that wait," and if I had to wait a thousand years just to meet you, then I would say that that's time well spent. 

You make my heart flutter every time I'm with you, and when we're apart, even if only for a day, I miss you. You are my better half, and I honestly can't imagine life without you.

I love you with all my heart, and I promise to provide you with a lifetime of happiness together. Cheers to us, and I love you.
